What makes WikiNative different from other paid Wikipedia agencies?
As a volunteer editor turned paid-editor, I value Wikipedia as a neutral, unbiased, source of information. I use the platform to educate and inform people in a neutral, impartial way. I can’t rewrite history, but I can help your customers learn about you in clear, factual terms.
I have a great deal of respect for Wikipedia. I respect the platform and make sure that every edit I make contributes to Wikipedia’s mission objective; make the sum of all human knowledge freely available to anyone anywhere.
I go to great lengths to ensure my content meets Wikipedia’s guidelines, and where necessary, disclose any conflict of interest.
Wikipedia has many rules and regulations surrounding paid editing and native advertising. Using Wikipedia to promote yourself or your business is no different to stencilling your company logo to the walls of a public library; it is vandalism and places an additional burden on Wikipedia’s community of volunteer editors.
Vandalising Wikipedia reflects poorly on businesses, that’s why I encourage my clients to use Wikipedia as an opportunity to elevate their brand presence through neutrally worded educational content.
Page editing and updating
If the information on your company’s Wikipedia page is out of date, or you have new news relating to your company. As long as the story has appeared in a reputable source, I can update the page.
Maintenance tag removal
I can fix pages, so they comply with Wikipedia’s content and style guidelines. Once the page is compliant, I can remove the maintenance tag.
Wikidata is an open-source repository of structured data. Not only is Wikidata the backbone of Wikipedia it is also a favoured source for Google’s Knowledge Graph.
Research and academic copywriting
My net extends far beyond the confines of Google. I can extrapolate encyclopaedia worthy information from a wide range of sources and aggregate it into a neutral, balanced Wikipedia entry.
Providing your business meets Wikipedia’s guidelines on notability and has the secondary sources to prove this, I am happy to upload the page under a full conflict of interest disclosure.
I offer a range of consultancy services for businesses who want to educate themselves on the best way to inform their customers. I am happy to answer questions in the form of written reports or over Skype.
